Meet Alison - Retired Director of Nursing and Primary Speaker

I started my nursing career in med/surg, quickly realizing that while I could handle blood and vomit, it wasn’t exactly my idea of ‘living the dream.’ Instead, I found my real passion: cutting through medical jargon, making complex health concepts actually make sense, and helping people thrive in the workplace.

Years as a head nurse—and later as a director of nursing—taught me two things: how to lead with empathy and how to keep a straight face during even the most questionable staff meetings. Now, I take those skills beyond the hospital walls, helping healthcare professionals build resilience, master tough conversations, and take back control of their work environment—without losing their sanity (or their lunch).

My secret sauce? A mix of practical strategies, a sprinkle of humor, and a knack for making even the toughest conversations feel manageable. Together, we’ll rebuild your confidence, set boundaries like a pro, and create resilience that sticks.

Meet Jocelyn - Resident Expert MSW, RSW

With a master’s in social work and more than 40 years of experience, I’ve pretty much seen it all—except maybe a quiet therapy session with no breakthroughs (those are rare!). My life’s work has been helping people untangle the mess of mental and emotional challenges with a trauma-informed approach and just the right mix of compassion and honesty—because sugarcoating doesn’t get anyone anywhere.

Clients know me for my direct yet supportive style and practical strategies that actually work. Whether it’s reclaiming confidence, setting boundaries without guilt, or safeguarding your sanity, I’m here to help you tackle life’s curveballs head-on. Over the years, I’ve worked in enough settings to write a book (or two), tailoring solutions for unique challenges that life seems to throw at everyone—sometimes all at once.
